Event Time and Date
A hackathon is a weekend-long invention challenge. In the tech world, to “hack” means to innovate with code. A hackathon is also a career fair with a twist - sponsors will bring engineers and recruiters to mentor and coach students throughout the weekend, fostering community and industry engagement. Harvard, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, and MIT host hackathons yearly in order to create a community of innovation.
CrimsonHacks will host students from around the south for a weekend of learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Beginning on Saturday, students will form teams of 2-4 to develop a product. Students will have around 24 hours to complete their project and submit it for judging. Throughout the weekend, experienced individuals and professionals will lead workshops to help the project development process. Students are encouraged to use whatever technologies they feel comfortable with, or to venture out into something they've never seen before!
